The Marmoleum and Artoleum ranges are produced with a hard wearing factory finish known as "ETC". This finish is ready for immediate use.

• Remove all traces of excess adhesive using mineral turps or white spirits.
• Remove all loose dust and soil by vacuuming, sweeping or dust mopping with a chemically impregnated mop.
• Damp mop the floor using a neutral detergent (pH 6-8) such as Marmoleum Floor Cleanser or equivalent.
• Rinse with clean water and allow drying.
• Do not flood the floor. Apply minimal water/solution. Use cold/lukewarm water only.
• Do not strip factory finish.

• Remove all dirt and soiling by vacuuming. Sweeping or dust mopping.
• Remove stains/spots with a damp cloth using a neutral detergent (pH 6-8) such as Marmoleum Floor Cleanser or commercial equivalent.

• Mechanical method - Spray buff the floor using a buffing machine equipped with the appropriate pad and a spray clean solution such as Marmoleum Floor Dressing or commercial equivalent.

• If desired, an extra surface can be applied upon the clean ETC finish immediately after initial cleaning has been carried out This depends on the ongoing maintenance system to be used.

• Metallised Acrylic Polymers, such as Interpol, Research or commercial equivalent. Apply 2-4 coats on a dry dean surface. The second coat should be applied at right angles to the first.
• Self Shining Acrylic Emulsion, such as Marmoleum or Research Floor Dressing or commercial equivalent. Apply 2-4 coats on a dry, clean surface. The second coat should be at right angles to the first.
