This Heavy Duty Waffle Rubber underlay we Highly recommend, it will give you the best Luxurious Underfoot feel of all the underlay's.

For Medium to Heavy traffic areas (rental property market), when using this underlay on stairs and narrow hallways, is a little thinner but still gives a good under foot feel.

Recommend for LIGHT traffic areas, when using this underlay on stairs and narrow hallways, we have found from experience, this product will be BUGGERED & lost most of it's original structural properties after only a month or two. (see #)

For a Smoothedge installation we only recommend the Gymlay II & Excellay type of carpet cushioning. Underlay's treated with Ultra-Fresh® ensures effective, long term control of dust mites as well as the growth of destructive bacteria, moulds, mildew and fungi. Ultra-Fresh® also provides odour protection, increase hygiene and reduces staining.

We recommend the use of this Heavy Duty foam underlay !

This is known as one of the best domestic foam underlay's.

This thin underlay is a very heavy duty underlay as it is designed for a "Double Bonded installation". (underlay & carpet glued down)

Acoustic underlay, designed for installing under Timber float flooring.

The LIGHTER weights of this type underlay are of domestic quality or for the "throw away" Rental property market, when using lesser quality underlay on stairs and narrow hallways, we have found from experience that these products will be all but BUGGERED and lost most of it's original structural properties after only two or three months. These underlay's are manufactured by "The Smith Family" under licence for Bridgestone Australia. These superior underlay's have 30% Wool blended with recycled Textile fibres, this padding is manufactured by a needle punched operation with a polypropylene binder. Standard domestic weight padding.

Medium weight padding. (Highly Recommend)

Heaviest duty of these textile padding's, when installing wall to wall be aware that this underlay is 7mm thicker than smoothedge.

This type of underlay is designed for Double Bonded Installations (Underlay glued to floor & carpet glued to underlay). Various Mesh is fixed onto both sided of these underlay's, the bottom mesh assists when the carpet is eventually taken-up & the Top mesh stops the glue absorbing into the underlay as well as protecting the underlay from damage while spreading the glue.

This type of Layment is is designed to be installed under the Underlay, can be glued to floor or installed several ways !

When installed beneath an underlay's, it will raise the final underlay level and possibly be above the smoothedge slightly or can be glued down prior to fitting a "Double Bonded" underlay's etc.

This product can even be simply laid out over a ceramic floor to give a safer non slip environment.
